Classroom News for the Week of February 27th

News and Upcoming Events:
  • Orchestra is Monday. Remember to bring your instruments.
  • Student Authored Book (Fairy Tales) - Like last year, your child will be writing a story that will be published into a hard bound book. Each child will receive a free book and additional copies are available for purchase. This year, after reading and analyzing many classic fairy tales for patterns, trends, characteristics, and stereotypes, the 4th graders have been asked to write an original fairy tale. Students have been brainstorming and drafting these in class. They will be asked to type the stories at home next week in place of other language arts assignments. This Thursday your child will received detailed directions on how to type his/her fairy tale. There are several important deadlines associated with this assignment. Please review them with your child once you have received the information, and contact me right away if you have questions. Thank you for your help!
  • Reminder- Please check that your child's HW has been completed, and sign the log nightly. We  have had many students arrive to class with assignments only partially completed and many who did not bring math books, protractors, etc. This really slows the flow of class. Please help make sure your child is ready for class each day.
