Classroom News for the Week of February 29

News and Upcoming Events:
  • Student authored Book Project - Students will be typing their tall tale stories at home in place of language arts homework this week. Typed stories will be due on Tues. March 8 (not Mar. 4 as previously stated) although students are encouraged to bring in their hard copies as early as possible. Now is a good time to make sure your printer has ink, is working, etc.All students who need one will be given a flash drive (green wrist band). If your child loses the flash drive, it is $5 to replace.
  • 3/3 Wolf Pack Run- Please donate and see our class page to check our progress! Wolf Pack Run
  • 3/3 All Fairy Tale Contest Entrants - bring in your final story on Thursday March 3. We will celebrate your efforts and mail off your stories. Good Luck! Remember your story can be no longer than two pages. Stories may be typed.
  • 3/11 Report Card #2 will be sent home

Writing:

Great Depression Inquiry Project continues. Projects are due March 4th. All work is done in class, but please talk with your child about his/her topic selection and progress.

Science: Life Science unit begins

Visual Arts:

Creating captivating book covers for the student authored book project.

 Please make sure your child is at school and in line by the 8:06 bell. We try to start the school day at 8:11 promptly. Thank you for your help!

Homework:
Please check your child's Homework Log nightly and sign or initial after the work has been completed. Remind your child that completed homework and the HW log are due in class daily.
